Naina Devi: 129 bodies identified

As many as 129 out of 146 people killed in the stampede at the Naina Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh have been identified and the bodies were handed over to their relatives. At least 146 devotees, mostly women and children, were crushed to death and more than 50 were injured in a stampede at the temple shrine triggered by rumors of a landslide. Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh government has ordered a commissioner-level inquiry into the incident.
