Navy chief has resigned on moral grounds: Maritime Expert

Commenting on the resignation of Navy Chief DK Joshi, Maritime Expert Commodore (Rtd) Uday Bhaskar said that Admiral Joshi's resignation is in keeping with the highest traditions of the service, and added that it also draws attention to the concerns of defence sector in the country. Bhaskar said that this development shows his integrity and moral responsibility which he accepted. Admiral Joshi stepped down from his post in the Indian Navy hours after submarine, INS Sindhuratna accident off the coast of Mumbai, in the backdrop of growing concerns about a series of mishaps involving warships.
