The Delhi Government's 181 helpline for women in distress, which was launched after the Nirbhaya assault case, is on the verge of closure. Contracts of employees who run the service have not been renewed since December and they have been working without pay for two months. Reacting over this, Congress leader and former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit said that this will be a retrograde step. She added that she will write to Lieutenant governor about it.
