Nirupama seeks patient diplomacy to resolve Indo-china border issue

Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao on Thursday said that India and China should engage in patient diplomacy to resolve the border dispute. The neighbours have made little progress in resolving their decades-old dispute over the Himalayan border, despite several rounds of talks. Rao is expected to travel to China next week to consolidate ties, recently improved by a trade boom and cooperation over climate change that shifted the focus away from the border dispute.
