No power generation in Kudankulam Plant yet: Officials

Reacting to a recent statement made by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, officials from the controversial Kudankulam nuclear plant have said that power generation from the project was still expected to take some time. Additional chief engineer (civil) of the Kudankulam Nuclear Plant, MS Suresh, revealed that no work has actually taken place on the project till now. The chief maintenance engineer of Kudankulam plant, D Ramesh assured that the project officials would ensure that radiation leaks from the reactor would never exceed the prescribed amount.
