Updated on Jan 20, 2013 02:18 pm IST

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session in Jaipur today blamed 'mis-communication' and manipulative Non-Congress states, as the reason behind the deep public resent that the government is up against. During his speech, Singh said that his government has fulfilled the promises made by them in the Congress's 2004 and 2009 manifesto. He also said that the country's development under NDA was 5.5 per cent and under UPA, the GDP grew over 8 per cent. He also added that his government achieved this during global economic recession. Singh also expressed his concern over the security of women in the country and said that women's participation in the economy is critical.
