One arrest for molesting Korean in Kolkata

In yet another case of sexual assault in India, police arrested a man for molesting a South Korean woman while she was boarding a bus in Kolkata. The incident occurred when the 23-year old student was heading to her college. Following her complaint at the Burrabazar police station, the police detained a group of men travelling on the bus and arrested the accused after indentifying the actual culprit. While talking to mediapersons, Deputy Commissioner of Police D P Singh said that the accused would be produced before a local court. He added that the accused has been taken into judicial custody till April 02 and has been charged under Section 354 of the IPC (sexual assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
