ONGC exploring fields for uranium mining in Tripura

State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is all set to take up the new challenge of uranium exploration in Tripura.AK Hazarika in Agartala,Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of ONGC says a pilot project is being launched to explore fields for uranium mining in the riverbed of rivers Krishna and Godavari.Hazarika also said ONGC is working towards revamping its ageing infrastructure and technology at the oil fields across the country especially one at Lakwa in Assam.
