Opp hail govt's decision to defer ordinance on food security bill

The opposition parties on Thursday hailed the government's decision to defer the ordinance on food security bill, following objection from allies and rival parties. The government is likely to convene a special session of parliament or pre-pone the monsoon session for its passage, as demanded by opposition parties as well as its key allies - the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
