'Pak bashing a fashion in India'

Pakistan High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir has reiterated that the soldiers of his country's army did not cross the LoC. Further hitting out at India, Bashir stated that India could have worked with Pakistan to get to the bottom of what happened instead of "stirring raw emotions and upping the rhetoric", adding that "Pakistan bashing has become fashionable" in India. Bashir further urged New Delhi to accept Islamabad's proposal for a foreign minister-level talks to de-escalate tension on the disputed border. Urging New Delhi to tone down the "Pakistan bashing", the high commissioner said that Indian leadership had the ability and the wisdom to take steps to defuse the present crisis.
