Pallam Raju commissions new coast guard warship

Minister of state for defence MM Pallam Raju formally commissioned ICGS Rajtarang for the Indian Coast Guard at Chennai. The new ship will help carry out search and rescue operation in the entire maritime region of Bay of Bengal. Raju said that there is a dire need for such warships in the fleet of Coast Guard, in the present situation. The ICGS Rajtarang is equipped with advanced and sophisticated navigation, communication sensors and equipments. It would be active in search and rescue operations, law enforcement and maritime patrol.
