Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday finally broke his silence on the Indian Army's Myanmar operation. Days after India's offensive against militants along its eastern border stunned the world, Parrikar said the action against insurgency has led to a change in other countries' perception of India. Taking a swipe at Pakistan, without mentioning it, Parrikar said, "Those people who fear India's new posture are reacting." He also said a 'simple' counter-insurgency operation has changed the whole mindset about security in India.
