Ram Vilas Paswan, Indian minister for steel, on Thursday advocated central rule in Orissa in the wake of attacks on Christian community. The federal Home Minister has shot off a letter asking the state's ruling government, supported by Bharatiya Janata Party, to do more to check the violence. Paswan urged the Communist alliance, who severed ties with the federal coalition earlier this year, to muster a 3/4th majority in parliament in favour of the move.
