Patnaik suspends Mohapatra

In the recent turn of events, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik today suspended rebel leader Pyarimohan Mohapatra and two other ministers, Anjani Behera and Sanjiv Sahu, after reports of dissent within the party. Earlier on Tuesday, speculations were on that the rebel group within the Biju Janata Dal was all set to depose the 12-year-old Naveen Patnaik government while the chief minister was away in London on an official trip. However, Patnaik cut short his visit, and returned back to India, a day earlier than what was scheduled.
