PC concerned over Maoist violence in Orissa

Voicing his disappointment over the high level of Maoist violence in Orissa, Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that there has to be an improvement in the law and order situation in the state, to curb the menace. He advised the state government to take tips from the central government and other states, which have been dealing with the Maoist threat. However, state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik claimed that there was a decline in Maoist casualties in comparison to the previous years.
