PM regrets financial irregularities, vows to complete the term

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday conceded that he regrets the scams and grafts that took place under his leadership of the government. Addressing a conference of TV editors in New Delhi today, he, however, asserted it was quite an achievement that India could perform well during the world financial crisis. He added the scandals also adversely affect India's image as a market-friendly country that seeks to attract global investors into its fast growing economy.
