Police arrest four Maoists in Bihar; seize ammunition

Acting on a tip off, four Maoists including a woman were arrested by the state police officers from Banka district of Bihar on Sunday. They also seized arms and ammunition including two pistols, 36 cartridges of bullets, a motorcycle and Maoist literature. One of the arrested, Taro Mandal alias Tarkeshwar Mandal was wanted in more than two- dozen cases of Maoist related violence in various districts of Bihar. Kumar also informed that Mandal had planned to disturb the polling session during the recently concluded assembly elections but his plans were foiled.
