Political parties gear up for general elections

Political parties in Communist-ruled West Bengal are wooing voters hard through their promises of providing better development and infrastructure in the state. Communist Party of India (Marxist) sitting Member of Parliament, Sujan Chakravorty said that the secularism and protection of public sector undertakings would be the core Left issues. The Central Government's step-motherly treatment towards West Bengal would also be a part of their political plank.
