Politicians pay homage to former PM Rajiv Gandhi

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 21st death anniversary in New Delhi today. Sonia Gandhi, the former PM's widow, was among the first to arrive at Veer Bhumi, the leader's memorial, in New Delhi. Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Rajiv Gandhi's son Rahul Gandhi along with his sister Priyanka Vadra Gandhi and several Congress party leaders also paid floral tribute to the late leader.
