Pranab says energy sources vital for growth

Reaffirming UPA Government's commitment to the Indo-US civilian nuclear energy cooperation, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said that the core aim behind the deal is to have a secure and sustainable energy sources for ensuring country's high economic growth rates. Mukherjee also asked the US to invest in India's farm sector, which is facing sluggish growth of less than three per cent annually.
