Preservation techniques prevent competitiveness

Litchi growers in Bihar lament that they are losing out to their competitors due to lack of proper preservation techniques for their produce. Farmer's complaint that there were no arrangements for refrigerator vans or air-conditioned coaches for the transport of the fruit to other regions; as a consequence shelf life of the fruit gets drastically reduced.
