President Abbas to lay foundation stone

Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who is on a four-day visit to India, will lay the foundation stone for an embassy of the Palestinian Authority in New Delhi, land for which has been gifted by the Indian Government. Abbas is scheduled to meet President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the chairperson of the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Sonia Gandhi, besides other Indian leaders.
