Prez poll counting begins

The counting of votes for the 14th Presidential election began today amidst tight security in the presence of both UPA Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee and BJP's Presidential candidate PA Sangma in Room number 63 of Parliament. The ballot boxes of votes cast in Parliament House were taken up first for counting after which those from the states will be opened. The results are expected to be out by 4pm. Pranab is expected to win the election, given the support his candidature has drawn from across the political spectrum.
