Updated on Apr 29, 2008 08:55 pm IST
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said steps taken to reverse rising prices will moderate inflation. Addressing the Annual General Meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on April 29, he expressed concern about the world community not doing enough to address problems of costly food and fuel. Singh also said the broad macroeconomic fundamentals of the Indian economy were robust and the medium and long-term outlook highly encouraging.
