Protests continue in Kashmir

The state government's decision to revoke forestland transfer to the Amarnath Hindu Shrine Board caused a stir in the valley on Monday. Police detained about 60 activists of Hindu outfits in Jammu & Kashmir protesting against the state government's decision. Meanwhile, Hindu pilgrims bound for the revered cave shrine were left stranded in Srinagar due to continuing shutdown and violent protests in Kashmir.
