Ramlila crackdown: SC slams cops, Ramdev
Updated on Feb 23, 2012 05:11 pm IST
The Supreme Court on Thursday held the Delhi Police guilty of using excess force on Baba Ramdev's followers on June 4 last year in New Delhi during the yoga guru's anti-corruption agitation. The court added that there was a link between the Union home ministry and the Delhi police in the midnight crackdown against the followers. However, the apex court also went on to hold Baba Ramdev and his trust guilty of contributing to negligence that led to a follower named Rajbala's death due to her injuries.
