The family of Ruchika Girhotra on Saturday withdrew the torture charges against former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore. Ruchika, a minor, had allegedly committed suicide after molestation by the former DGP. According to media reports, the family has raised no objection to the closure reports filed by the CBI that says there's no evidence to prove that Ruchika's brother was tortured in the custody or that the signatures of her father had been forged on her post-mortem report. The CBI had filed a closure report in the case around 20 months back.
