Salman Khurshid takes charge as law minister

After assuming charge as the Union Law Minister, Salman Khurshid, accorded 'priority' status to the proposed Lokpal Bill and legislation on food security, at a meeting with senior ministry officials, in New Delhi on Wednesday. Khurshid, who is also the central Minister for Minority Affairs, was inducted in the cabinet after the reshuffle held yesterday. Interacting with mediapersons, Khurshid asserted that his focus would not be only on important bills but also on judicial reforms, planned by his predecessor, Veerappa Moily.
