Sangma refuses to step back as Prez candidate

As the race to the post of President grows intense, with the NDA yet undecided on its nominee, NCP leader and former Lok Sabha speaker PA Sangma on Sunday remained adamant of not opting out, reaffirming that he was a tribal leader. The NDA had earlier called a meet to decide on its Presidential nominee, with rumours citing the opposition to decide on a consensus candidate, widely expected to be Sangma.
