Sania Nehwal clinches Singapore Open Super Series title

Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal clinched her second Super Series title on Sunday after defeating Tzu Ying Tai of Taiwan in straight sets in the finals of the Singapore Super Series badminton championship final. Nehwal took just 33 minutes to beat Tai 21-18, 21-15 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. In a game that was a close one to start with, Nehwal was locked 18-18 with her rival at one stage before edging ahead. In the second game, Nehwal displayed a better net game and outwitted her rival in rallies to emerge triumphant. An elated Harveer Singh, father of Nehwal, indeed was proud of her daughter.
