Pakistan has restricted consular access to Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh who is in deep coma and on ventilator support in Lahore's Jinnah Hospital, prompting Indian officials to take up the issue with their Pakistani counterparts, according to sources. Two officials of the Indian high commission were allowed to visit Sarabjit, only for a few minutes early on Saturday. The Pakistan government has reportedly said that consular access was allowed for a single meeting only, since the hospital is now being deemed a sub jail.
