Security for Amarnath pilgrimage tightened

After the bomb blasts which rocked Jaipur, security was beefed up in the major tourist's destinations. Police in India's restive Jammu & Kashmir have also strengthened security ahead of pilgrimage to the revered Hindu shrine Amarnath. The 48-kilometer pilgrimage trek to the hilltop cave shrine at Amarnath will begin on Wednesday. Voluntary religious and charitable organizations have moved in to augment further the arrangements made by the authorities.
