Security personnel launch operation to nab Maoists in Jharkhand after blasts

Security personnel launched a massive operation to nab Maoists after they triggered multiple landmine blasts in Jharkhand that killed two policemen and injured ten on Monday. Explosions took place when security personnel were conducting an operation in Giridih district, around 250 kilometres from state capital Ranchi, to free four abducted government officials from the rebels. Police have confirmed that the four officials have been released. Director General of Jharkhand Police, Rajeev Kumar, also confirmed exchange of fire with the Maoists.
