Security tightened for Independence Day

Police tightened security grip and consolidated intelligence nexus as India gears for its 65th Independence Day celebrations. Interacting with reporters in Srinagar senior security officials said that check posts have been erected on all important locations of the city. Meanwhile senior superintendent of police of Lucknow AK Chaturvedi assured that Independence Day celebrations would be held peacefully. Authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that security remains watertight throughout the country.
