Self-regulatory guidelines issued to electronic media

Indian broadcasters on Thursday imposed self-regulatory guidelines to television media calling for restrictions to air live coverage of security operations and coverage of events, which gives publicity to terrorists. The decision came after the Indian media faced criticism for round-the-clock coverage of the Mumbai terror attacks, on television.
