Shahid Afridi

Well known as Boom Boom Afridi amongst his fans, Shahid Afridi, is the current skipper of the Pakistan Cricket team. Born on 1st March, 1980, Afridi is one of the most established names of world cricket and has earned the reputation of a destroyer. A dependable and consistent all rounder for Pakistan team, Afridi is a right hand aggressive batsman and a right arm, leg spin bowler. He has the highest ODI strike rate in history of players who have made more than 600 ODI runs. Out of the six fastest ODI hundreds of all times, he boasts of three. He is the one who had hit the fastest ODI hundred off 37 balls in 1996. Afridi has the highest aggregate of sixes in ODI history. He is the third Pakistan player to make 300 ODI appearances. He made his ODI debut on 2 October 1996 against Kenya in Nairobi and his Test debut on 22 October 1998 against Australia at Karachi.
