'Smile Pinki' bags Oscar for best short documentary

It is raining awards for India at the Oscars. Villagers of Dabai in Uttar Pradesh has been glued to the television to catch Oscar award ceremony live. Residents of the village huddled together during the wee hours of Monday and have been praying for the success of the documentary 'Smile Pinki' based on the life of a girl from their village. Their prayers seem to have been answered as 'Smile Pinki' bagged an Oscar for best short documentary.
