Sonia Gandhi on Herald case: ‘I’m Indira’s daughter-in-law, not afraid’

Updated on Dec 08, 2015 05:38 pm IST

Congress President Sonia Gandhi spoke to reporters on the National Herald case and said, “I am Indira's daughter-in-law and not afraid of anyone.” A Delhi court granted on Tuesday temporary relief to both Sonia Gandhi and her son, Rahul Gandhi, saying they would have to personally appear before it on December 19 to face charges of financial irregularities in the case that has paralysed Parliament. When asked if it was a case of political vendetta, the Congress President said, “ I leave it on you to judge.”

However, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi called developments in the case as “political vendetta”.
