Sonia to sue writer Javier Moro for defamation

Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi has initiated proceedings to sue Spanish writer Javier Moro for defamation, a party spokesman said. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said a legal notice has been sent to Moro for the book "El Sari Rojo" (The Red Sari), a dramatised "tale of the Nehru-Gandhi family told through the story of Gandhi". Singhvi said that despite repeated reminders, Moro has not substantiated any single fact on Sonia Gandhi that he has written in the book.
