Stampede at the Army recruitment drive in UP

At least one person was killed and several others injured in a stampede after Military Police fired in the air to disperse a mob in the Army Recruitment Drive at Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The youths resorted to heavy brick batting following which Military Police fired in the air to disperse the mob. Due to the firing, a stampede-like situation occurred when more than 10,000 youths, assembled for the physical test, went haywire.
