Strong action must be taken against rapists: Sonia Gandhi

In the wake of increasing rape incidents in Haryana, Congress Chief, Sonia Gandhi along with the state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday visited Sachhakhera village in Jind district and met the family of a teenaged Dalit girl who had immolated herself after being raped. Condemning the heinous crime Congress Chief said that strong action must be taken against those behind the crime. Meanwhile, a villager said that despite Sonia Gandhi's visit, it was difficult for their family to come to terms with the unfortunate incident.
