At TERI, she stated that her country needed 'responsible investment.' She also stressed on the need to lay special impetus while exploring natural resource in areas inhabited by ethnic races. The pro democracy leader arrived in India on a weeklong visit, and has met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. She also delivered the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Lecture on November 14 in memory of India's first Prime Minister, where she urged India to stand by Myanmar in the 'last phase' of a long journey towards democracy.
