Narendra Modi's growing power and influence in the BJP may finally lead to the formation of a Third Front comprising of regional parties sans the current ruling Congress and the main opposition BJP from its ambit. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that she had spoken to both Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the formation of a "federal front." BJD chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also mentioned that there are possibilities of a Third Front surfacing during the next elections. Meanwhile, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav ruled out any possibility of BJP and Congress winning back power in the next general elections.
