Tamil film industry protests against imposition of service tax

The members of the Tamil film industry on Monday sat on a one day long fast against the imposition of the service tax levied on them by the central government in Chennai. The protest saw some of Tamil cinema's prominent actors taking part in it, including superstar Rajinikanth.
