Thackeray claims to have saved Narendra Modi’s job

In the Sena mouthpiece Saamna Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Thursday claimed that he had advised Bharatiya Janata Party's Prime Ministerial candidate Lal Krishan Advani to retain Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat after the Godhra massacre. According to Thackeray's statement there were plans in the BJP to remove Modi from office following Godhra.
