This 10-year-old was chained so he wouldn't 'escape' from Madrasa

A 10-year-old boy was allegedly chained and tortured by organisers of a Madarsa in Vemulapalli mandal of Nalgonda district to prevent his escape. The boy, who was learning Arabic, managed to flee with two other boys while still being chained and was found hiding in a field by farmers. Several child rights activists here demanded action against the Madarsa, which they alleged, had abandoned its aim of imparting education to the poor boys and girls and resorting to undesirable activities.
