Threat to EVMs due to water seepage

The sealed electronic voting machines (EVMs) that hold the fate of numerous candidates in parts of Uttar Pradesh where polling is complete, have faced a new threat to their safety. Panic ensued in Lucknow on Saturday when security personnel noticed water seeping out from under the door of the room where machines, used during polling in the Sarojini Nagar and Mohanlalganj constituencies, were kept.
