Three militants gunned down in J&K

Three suspected militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit were shot dead by troops in Jammu district, officials said on Tuesday. Acting on a tip off army personnel cordoned off Gajna town in Reasi area gunned down the three militants after a fierce gun battle. Officials said the slain militants, involved in killings of several villagers, were planning to disrupt the Independence Day celebrations.
