Thunderstorm detroys mango crop

The high velocity thunderstorm that ripped across Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, killing about 90 people ravaged the famous mango belt of Lucknow. With a major part of the mango crop destroyed the mango growers in the mango-belt of Lucknow known for high quality 'Malihabadi' mangoes, are counting their losses. While the government to the kin of the deceased in the thunderstorm has announced compensation, the mango growers feel left out.
