TMC happy that left not part of coalition

Mamta Banerjee, chief of West Bengal's Trinamool congress that crushed the communists in their bastion said on Sunday that she was happy that communist would not be needed to prop up the federal coalition any more. Once seen as vital for any national coalition building, India's communist parties were left badly bruised in the general election, losing even in West Bengal state that they have ruled for more than three decades.
